Lake of the Ozarks

May 2nd 2026

Well stop number four happened at Lake of the Ozarks. There were several limits brought to the scales, butfinding that bigger bite was really hard to do. The dock talk was if someone had one four pounder and put another one with it, they would have a shot at winning.

1st Place

Brandon Rummel - 19.10lbs

Man standing on a sponsor backdrop, wearing a white fishing jersey and cap, holding a trophy plaque.

Prizes:

Brandon Rummel took top honors! He said he went pre-fishing for a day, concentrating on the shad spawn. Brandon had a limit by 7 o’clock that morning, and was calling with these big fish coming in about 30 minutes after the start of the tournament. He culled that afternoon a couple more times, getting all his fish on a mix ofspinner bait, chatter bait, and jig.

He had a total weight of 19.10 pounds that paid him $4690 for 1st+ $5000 gift certificate to Anglers Port Marine, $8000 nitro money, and $500 That’s a wrap gift certificate, for a grand total of $18,190.

2nd Place

Terry Bradley - 17.46lbs

Man holding a check on a tournament stage with sponsor backdrop, wearing a gray shirt, cap, and sunglasses

Prizes:

Terry Bradley has been on a roll, having just won a boat in the OMTT at LOZ. But the bite had changed, so attakeoff he decided to go fish some history spots where he had previously done well.  He ran to the big water, flipping shallow docks with a brown jig with a Zoom Superchunk. Terry was able to go through several keepersand getting a weight of 17.46 pounds, which paid him $3300.

3rd Place

Bobby Albert - 16.71lbs

Angler holding a trophy and check at a fishing tournament podium, wearing a sponsor jersey and cap.

Prizes:

Bobby Albert rounded out the top three with 16.71 pounds. We actually had a screen mobile cam with them all day and got some great footage. Bobby started on the main lake, throwing in A-Rig with no success. Then he headed to pocket fish in the backs of docks that had any kind of structure, catching all his fish on a shaky head and a signature brown jig.

2026 Season kick-off at Truman Lake, December 7, 2025

We had an unusually warm fall, but should have known that wouldn’t last. The week prior to this event, temperatures dropped, dipping in to the teens. Anglers were met with challenging conditions. The air temperature was 45 degrees at take-off, but dropped to 32 degrees at weigh-in. We sent out 96 of the best anglers from the Midwest, and as always, some figured it out.
