Lake of the Ozarks

May 17th 2026

Well, it came around fast! Our last solo series top 100 SQ qualifier at Lake of the Ozarks out of Drake Harborfeatured 66 of the best anglers in the Midwest. Not only competing for that first place finish, but also to make that top 30 points to qualify for the 2027 season of the Solo Series Top 100. The river up there will usually be good this time of year, but that was not the case on Sunday. The water was completely shut off, and the lake dropped almost 4 ft within a couple of days, making for extremely tough conditions.

RESULTS

1st Place

Randy Blauket - 13.47lbs

Man smiling on a boat hold two largemouth bass, standing before a “SOLD SERIES” fishing banner.

Prizes:

Randy Blaukat took First Place with 13.47 pounds. After a horrible practice and having just zeroed at the BFL tournament, Randy was really worried about this tournament. He had a lot riding on this tournament. Randy knew if he zeroed, he may not be able to fish the 2027 season of the Solo Series Top 100. He got in about ten hours of practice but did not really learn anything, so on tournament morning he decided to just go fish. Randy found success with a black and chartreuse Mega Bass S series crank bait, taking home $1,300 plus $5,000 Anglers Port Marine gift certificate.

2nd Place

Mark Moody - 12.90lbs

Mark was able to catch a 5.95 forBig Bass of the tournament and get second place. He caught his fish on a mix of spinner bait, a chatter bait, and a square bill on an all day bite. Mark took won $1,000 for 2nd place and $660 for Big Bass.
